My parents have always instilled in me that life is bigger than just sports and that being a well-rounded person will get me far in life. I spend a lot of my time working to benefit myself, others, and my community.
- I am an active member and altar server at my church
- I was a recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for completing more than fifty hours of community service from August of 2019-May of 2020
- Recipient of the Scholar-Athlete award, which consisted of a scholarship given through my middle school
- I am a member of the "Best Buddies" club at my high school, where we spend time playing games during school with students who have mental disabilities
- During the Covid-19 pandemic, I spent 15+ hours buying and delivering groceries for my friend and his family, who has severe mental and physical disabilities that leave him as a compromised individual
- This past high school basketball season, I helped to set up and conduct the fifty-fifty raffle during the annual Coaches VS Cancer game, where the proceeds go to benefit cancer research
- I am fluent in Spanish
- I often help to prepare and donate lunches to Operation HOPE, a local homeless shelter for adults, teens, and young children
- I completed over 80 community service hours from June 2020-May 2021
